BOWSTRING ACQUIRES SHORT ORDER PRODUCTION HOUSE, EXPANDING DELAWARE PRESENCE
After experiencing continued strong growth in 2022, the global content studio is poised for further expansion as the demand for powerful storytelling continues to increase
Conshohocken, Pa. (June 6, 2023) Bowstring, a global creative content studio, has acquired Short Order Production House, a Delaware-based production company with more than a decade of storytelling experience. This strategic move comes roughly six months after the company expanded its headquarters, and within a year of its purchase of a West Chester-based production company.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Short Order team to Bowstring as we continue to expand our reach and offerings,” said Enrique Mendoza, co-founder and CEO at Bowstring. “Together, we will build on their strong local reputation by leveraging our comprehensive content planning and storytelling solutions to drive an even bigger impact for customers in Delaware and beyond.”
Short Order brings a wealth of creative talent and experience with the Delaware market to Bowstring. The acquisition aligns perfectly with Bowstring’s long-term growth strategy, as the company looks for production houses that will benefit from the company’s renowned creativity, innovation and storytelling expertise across every channel.
“We have a longstanding relationship with Short Order, and this next step was a natural transition to combine our storytelling talents,” said Sean Quinn, co-founder and president. “They have a well-established local presence in Delaware and we look forward to offering their clients an expanded suite of services and capabilities.”
Founded in 2013, Short Order focuses on working with companies and agencies to create an organized and systematic approach to production and a more strategic approach to content planning. Under Bowstring’s leadership, clients will gain access to the proprietary video content planning solution, StoryCycle, as well as a comprehensive suite of capabilities from remote production services to visual effects.
“As soon as we started talking, it became clear that Bowstring and Short Order share a commitment to storytelling and to developing creative content that fits the needs of the client,” said Matt Sullivan, chief operating officer at Short Order. “I’m excited to take advantage of the experience and resources that Bowstring brings to the table, and I know we’ll find new ways to serve our clients – both old and new – in telling Delaware’s stories.
“My vision for Short Order has always been to tell the stories of our clients’ amazing work in an authentically moving way,” said Zach Phillips, founder of Short Order. “I am incredibly proud of how often our team accomplishes this, and I can’t wait to see what they can do when backed by the experience, talent and tremendous capabilities of Bowstring."
The acquisition is part of Bowstring’s ongoing strategy to continue scaling the company which features 70 creatives across the U.S., Latin America and beyond.
